As news server eurozpravy.cz informed the city of Prague has a chance to end a long-term detrimental contract and to finally increase revenue from advertising on the city’s street furniture. The contract with the current operator JCDecaux, which is in court facing charges of corruption, is due to end in 2021 and the city has no intention of prolonging the contract. The city plans to announce a tender to find a new operator this year. According to estimates, Prague could take in nearly three times more a year than it is currently getting from JCDecaux.
